If you are part of the islands genetic and cultural heritage, you need not apply.
“We are the public body that helps people care for, enjoy and celebrate England’s spectacular historic environment. ”

“These placements form part of our strategy to make sure the heritage workforce properly represents the UK population. In 2017-2018 only 4.4% of the Historic England work force described their ethnicity as Black, Asian or Minority Ethnic, set against the UK average of 14% (according to the 2011 census.) We don’t think that that’s right and so are offering training placements for people with BAME heritage. This is in line with the legislation in the Equality Act 2010 which allows us to take positive action to provide training opportunities to tackle under –representation.”

Does that mean that there should be an exact racial demographic for every job? Will we see such “positive discrimination” to benefit whites? How about where BAME are over-represented, such as basketball teams or nursing? No. This is a one-way street.
